Stephen Broadbent
Stephen Broadbent was born in Wroughton in 1961 and educated in Liverpool. He has worked as an artist for the past 26 years, following an initial period of study under the sculptor Arthur Dooley. Stephen had his first one-man exhibition in London in 1982.
Beginning with limited edition bronze sculptures and gallery work, Stephen has grown in skill and experience - rising to the challenges of increasingly larger public sculptures, and urban design projects.
Essentially an uncomplicated communicator Stephen's vibrant skill as an artist and his indomitable spirit, shine through all that he produces. By making his viewers participators, he shares with others his positive attitude to life and his increasing understanding of relationships.
In the early 1990’s he established the creative design company ‘Broadbent’, which continues to develop and rise to the challenge of developing creative solutions to urban landscapes, corporate and domestic interiors.
A valued speaker at national and international events and creative consultant, Stephen still manages to balance his own artistic development and work as a sculptor, with his larger project and design work, within the company.
Stephen has a large collection of limited edition bronze maquettes, which are available directly from our studio gallery.
